Life in the past lane. We’re delighted to welcome you to Heritage Homestead, a family-run place where life moves a little slower and the simple things matter. After lying dormant for more than 40 years, this land is being thoughtfully brought back to life by the fifth-generation grandson, who has returned with his family to create something meaningful, lasting, and worthy of the legacy left before them.Heritage Homestead has been in the Cook family since 1888. Four generations lived, worked, and cared for this property, shaping its stories and character. Today, with renewed purpose and fresh energy, we are restoring the homestead as a place to welcome guests, share traditions, and reconnect with the land. As the property continues to take shape, we offer guided goat-led walks, along with experiences focused on animal husbandry, seasonal rhythms, and everyday life on the homestead. Guests can enjoy small scale seasonal events, visit our on-site gift shop, and relax knowing the pace is easy and the welcome genuine.

We also offer two unserviced RV pads and a bark park for four-legged companions, along with open spaces to simply take it all in. Looking ahead, our plans include horse-drawn carriage and sleigh rides, overnight stays with traditional breakfasts through Airbnb, and expanded educational and historic demonstrations as the homestead continues to evolve.

With a strong focus on sustainability, ethical animal care, growing and harvesting our own produce, Heritage Homestead is being restored with care, intention, and pride. Whether you’re visiting in person or following along from afar, we’re glad you’re here and we invite you to be part of this next chapter.
