About Us
Where goats lead and worries lag behind.
Goats on the Trail is a small group, guided coastal walk like no other where friendly goats set the pace and the landscape tells the story. Located in beautiful Cartyville, Newfoundland, our walks follow groomed trails between two salmon rivers and Bay St. George. Along the way, guests are invited to slow down, breathe in the sea air, and experience the coast through gentle movement, and connection with the goats meandering along the way.
This isn’t a petting zoo or a performance. It’s a relaxed, immersive experience rooted in respect for the land, the animals, and the moment. Walks are intentionally unhurried, allowing time to notice the scenery, learn about the area, and enjoy the simple joy of wandering alongside the herd. Whether you’re visiting Newfoundland for the first time or rediscovering your own backyard, Goats on the Trail offers a memorable, feel good experience that’s calm, authentic, and unmistakably local. We welcome you to join us!

Meet the goats who lead the way!
Our small herd is made up of friendly, curious goats who are attentive and intentional about enjoying
the trail as they go. They love fresh air, coastal paths, and keeping things pleasantly unhurried.
On every walk, they set the pace, pausing now and then to graze and explore their surroundings.
Each goat brings their own personality to the trail, and getting to know them is part of the fun.
No two walks are ever quite the same.
